What Does The Head Trainer Of Fairtex Think
Champ is Fairtex's head trainer. He works closely with the top fighters, especially when they are getting ready to fight. The ring king brought many fighters to the top. These include Stamp, Nakrob, Saemapetch, and more.
The game changed recently with ONE Championship. So Champ is changing his tactics.
“Three rounds you can not wait,” Champ said.
Sonrak Fairtex showed great skill under the game plan of Champ and the Fairtex crew. He hit and then grabbed.
“He punched and then locked the body,” Champ said.
This new style of fighting is different from the traditional stadium style. Fighters would stay longer and use their legs to stall. They would teep their opponents away. Or would kick and turn over into blocks.
Now it’s more like western boxing, especially with the small gloves.
“You can not wait,” Champ said.
More fighters are going to ONE and Champ is studying the opposition.

The dragon from China came to Fairtex over two years ago. But his first steps into the ring were when he was young.
“I’ve fought kickboxing 35 times,” Sia Long said.
He began in his home country. There he racked up 10 amateur bouts.
“I fought professional kickboxing 25 times,” he said. “I’ve only lost three times.”
Because of his kickboxing background, his hands are fast and sharp.
“Kickboxing is good for him,” Coach Robin said. The boxing coach works with all the fighters at Fairtex. He understands the speed and precision necessary for boxers. Sia Long has it.
His punishing body shot is known at Lumpinee.
How To Buy Time In Muay Thai

Petchwarin learns a new tactic from an old hand in the game. Kru Noon was a golden era fighter. He used his speed and tactics to win fights. One of his tools was stalling. He would kick and then turn over the kick. This created a block. It’s a great tool for closing distances and moving into the clinch or for stalling.
Female fighter Petchwarin is a homegrown talent. She’s fought all of her bouts out of Fairtex. She’s studying exercise science at University and studying the fight game at Fairtex.
But most of all she’s looking to use the most of her time.
Are You Powered By Creatine?

Coming from San Francisco, Douglas Malagon, made a new name for himself at Fairtex. His fight career in the Bay Area of the USA was hit and miss.
But he’s been on a good run of form out of the gym. One of the reasons why is his past. He worked as a personal trainer in the Bay Area. This helped him grow his skills. Specifically, he learned how to recover.
One of the things he does for recovery is take supplements.
“I take creatine, mono hydrate,” Malagon said. “It keeps you hydrated so it helps with endurance and power.”
According to Malagon creatine pushes water into your cells. It helps with muscles not your fat.
He will take creatine after fights but stops two weeks before the bout.
“I take pills. They are basic capsules,” he said.
Supplementing with creatine is similar to taking protein supplements. Athletes should have at least their body weight in grams of protein.

It’s hard to miss him. The vibrant Kongdech is a bright light at Fairtex.
“I started fighting when I was nine years old,” he said.
Kongdech comes from the south of Thailand. His first gym was Lookpaseua. Then he moved to TC Muay Thai also in Bangkok.
“It was one thousand kilometers from the gym to my house. I went to school too,” he said.
After he finished his time at TC Muay Thai he came to Fairtex. He’s been on a renewed run.
Since his return to the ring, he’s been on a two fight win streak.
Now This Is Muay Thai History
Seesom’s blood is Muay Thai. He’s been at the gym for over 30 years. He began training and fighting out of Sityodtong gym in Pattaya. Samart Payakaroon and Seesom rose at the same time. He moved to the very first Fairtex gym in Bangkok.
“I fought at Lumpinee on Param 4,” he said. “I fought there 20 times.”
He fought at 126 lbs. His bouts were on the famed Onesongchai promotions. Or he would fight on Mr. Wong’s shows. Mr. Wong promoted regularly at the legendary stadium.
All the experience helped him grow other fighters like Naurepol, Saemapetch, and his son and head trainer, Champ.
